[HBN뉴스 = 정동환 기자] On the 22nd, Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok and Scale-up Center (hereinafter, Seoul Startup Hub) announced the completion of their '3rd Scale-Up Week', a project aimed at promoting investment attraction, with 11 participating startups.
‘Seoul Startup Hub Scale-up Week’, held from October 20 to 22, is a tailored investment-matching program that leverages Seoul Startup Hub Scale-up Center membership networks including venture capital firms, accelerators and other fund raising institutions to help incubating startups secure investment. As a monthly event first held in August, this is the third edition.
Scale-up week is a joint initiative between Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok and Scale-up Center. While Gongdeok identifies investment needs from startups, Scale-up Center provides close support for fundraising through its membership network and one-on-one investment consulting, ultimately playing a key role in helping startups scale up.
For the event, Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok, Seongsu, Changdong, and Startup Center Dongjak recruited startups until the 1st that needed investment, including both graduates and those currently incubating. They then selected 11 promising startups through an assessment conducted by members of the Scale-Up Center.
Selected startups have the opportunity to secure investment based on their fields, investment stages, growth potential and more through 11 times matching consultations with specialized financial and investment management institutions, as well as venture and startup investment firms.
Startups in gaming sector, such as ▲Dev Unlimit (CEO Jeong Gyumin), ▲TheJaeMI (CEO Kwak Seungjae), and ▲ConnectBrick (CEO Jang Hongseok), held an investment meetup with ▲Capstone Partners. Additionally, startups in AI, agriculture tech, fintech, and ICT had one-on-one investment consultations with ▲A Ventures and ▲TS Investment, seeking to secure funding.
Seoul Startup Hub official said, “Scale-up week is becoming an event where growing startups can connect with the right investors. We will continue to support startups in scaling up by revitalizing the startup investment ecosystem”
