[HBN뉴스 = 정재진 기자] UD IMPACT laid a foundation for future global expansion by delivering meaningful results in the Indian market in 2025.
Last October, the company participated in the global expansion accelerating program hosted by Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok. The initiative was aimed at validating the potential for cooperation in the fields of startups, education, and CSR within the southern Indian market.
Through presentation and networking activities with local universities, companies and startup officials, UD IMPACT was able to establish detailed partnership. By securing 42 new leads, the company not only confirmed the feasibility of expanding partnerships, but also moved to the next stage by signing a Letter of Intent (LOI) with a local partner.
The presentation provided to potential leads drew significant interest and positive feedbacks which can be attributed to the Indian market’s high expectation for UD IMPACT’s action-based startup education model and global networking programs.
It is noteworthy that the company secured insights into the startup ecosystem and the demand for education in southern India. In fact, students in the region are already actively participating in startup activities, and their demand for mentoring, action-based education and global networking support rather than theory-based study was remarkably high.
Based on these insights, UD IMPACT identified the potential to scale its startup education and talent cultivation model across Tier 2 and 3 cities, moving beyond a focus on Tier 1 metropolitan areas..
Through the global expansion program hosted by Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok, UD IMPACT forged multi-level partnerships with diverse organizations, including universities, government agencies, and corporations, while strengthening strategic networks within the Indian startup, education and CSR ecosystem. Building on these achievements, the company aims to implement a pilot program and launch a co-branded program on site in India.
Lee Tae-hyung, head of the Global Division at UD IMPACT, stated, “The visit to Coimbatore served as a pivotal turning point, allowing us to simultaneously secure partnership and confirm market demand, moving beyond just a market research. We aim to scale our startup education and talent cultivation in phases, expanding from Tier 1 cities into Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets across India.”
